I signed up with Magical and I had the strain for 5 hours and now it went POOF! I no longer have my strain. Anyone else experiencing this?

I have not experienced that myself. But I purchased the viral strain that I wanted at least 6 hours ago (maybe more), and I still have not been infected! I thought this year infections were supposed to take effect faster!!! According to the staff post. It was supposed to be easier and quicker to go through the infections so that you could get several of them, but it seems to me that this is just another mess up.

I thought kissing times were also reduced haha

I have about had it with this site. I have been a member for 12 years, and it seems like the site has pretty much been the same headache year after year. I have put so much time and effort into events and collections, not to mention the amount of money I have spent here, and when I have a problem, nobody cares.

I had to take a break for a few months at a time the last couple years, while I was in grad school. I didn't find out about the wardrobe "glitch" until December. So I started investigating and I have over 3,000 items missing from my wardrobe. I have gone through all the steps: the missing items form filing multiple tickets even messaging staff (and Keith)

NOTHING! I submitted the form with about 100+/- of the most expensive items I was missing. 37 of the cheapest items were returned! 37!!!!! And my form was "closed"!!!

And now.... all this lag and issues with this event.... I am past fed up.

I hear you! I’m pretty much in the same boat. It’s all the real money, art and profiles I bought, CWs that are keeping me here.

Exactly! The site has been having these issues for YEARS! I know people put a lot of money into this site. I know a lot of these things are very "code heavy", so I expect a few issues when they are first loaded onto the site. But hours and days of issues for just about every event is ridiculous. I am sure that they can get access to other servers or whatever else needs to be utilized temporarily when events are going on. Its very discouraging.

i would just sign up to be reinfected and then ask for a refund if you haven’t already. my infection got wiped too, so i just picked another instant one as soon as i noticed. (i didn’t bother doing a ticket for the refund tho.)

I cancelled my request for an infection, even though you don't get refunded. I am logging off for the night and debating on whether I will be participating at all. Just a lot of issues here lately.

I lost mine too I had the grainy

The same happened to me, I signed up for Magical and got paired with an infection specialist yesterday. This morning my avatar hadn't changed and when I went back to the infection page it was showing I wasn't infected. I went ahead and paid the for the immediate infection because I was already behind, and got Pointy which is showing up. Hopefully this one sticks

It happened to me... almost 12 hours later I noticed I no longer had a strain and had to sign up again... 12 hours of staging lost :(

My strain is gone :'( I was only a few hours away from done with my vial strain too.

Is there any chance at all of restoring lost progress or should we just reinfect and forget about it.

[edit] I saw a purple thing around my head when I noticed my strain was gone. Are snowballs killing infections?

I wasn’t hit with any snowballs when I lost mine

I lost mine too, not sure when. I was matched with a specialist for Magical yesterday, and today I'm not infected anymore. I don't think I was hit by any snowballs either, I think mine just disappeared overnight, literally while I was sleeping.

Hmm. That's a good idea. I probably spent 100k trying to get another infection because the lag was horrible and nothing would go through. The site kept crashing as well.

my avatar broke at some point yesterday (along with a large number of other peoples'), and when it came back at around 9:39 pst (12:39 subeta time?), my infection was gone. i think it's related to whatever wardrobe fix had to happen yesterday.

I'm really scared of losing mine in case it can't be restored and I have to start over =( I haven't even been online for most of the day in case it happens, but I'm also scared that I might not even need to be online to be affected.
